After an incredible journey that began in 2012, The Local Bakehouse is now closing its doors.

I’d like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to every customer who has supported the business over the years. It has been an absolute pleasure creating cakes for your birthdays, weddings, celebrations and special occasions, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of so many happy moments.

Life has taken an unexpected turn for me personally, and, following a period of significant change, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s no longer possible for me to continue with the business. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it is the right one for me at this stage of my life.

Thank you for trusting me with your gluten-free needs, for your lovely messages and thank you cards, and for coming back time and time again. Your support has meant more to me than I can put into words (and those of you who know me will appreciate I love to talk!).

There is a possibility that The Local Bakehouse may eventually continue under new ownership, so this may not be quite the end of its gluten-free story.
